It's been about half a year since I bought the Tmall Genie Sugar Cube, so I'll write an article about my experience using it.
Appearance#
How should I put it, it's average, not particularly good-looking, but it quietly lies there without disturbing your vision. I quite like this design.
Sound Quality#
Not too bad, can be heard.
Voice Recognition#
It's in a usable state, with wake-up words being "Tmall Genie" and "Hello, Tmall". The false positive rate is not too low.
The response to commands is not very fast. Sometimes after I finish speaking, there is no response, and sometimes the command is recognized as a song title.
The voice feedback is a bit annoying. Actually, the library of responses is rich enough, but why can't they standardize the voice? There is a high probability that the response will have a different voice when you wake it up twice.
The wake-up words cannot be changed, which seems a bit silly because the wake-up words are a bit long.
Advertising#
How should I put it, there is no random playing of ads, but almost every response is accompanied by a bunch of annoying chatter.
Music#
The music library is okay, but the self-proclaimed comments before playing music are a bit silly.
