Recently, the Google I/O conference announced several models compatible with Android Q beta3, and my Oneplus 6 happened to be among them
Recently, I have been eagerly anticipating the update to Android 10, and it has finally been pushed to my Oneplus 6. However, it is the Open beta version, which means that this version of the system may still have some instability. Nevertheless, I updated it immediately by manually flashing the update package.
The last time I used Android 10 was five months ago. At that time, Android 10 had not yet been officially named and there were many critical bugs, resulting in a disastrous experience. I had to roll back to Pie. Now, I have been using the official Open beta version for two days and I would like to share my thoughts.
- The new gesture navigation bar is really useful.
- It seems that I can no longer hide the notch, which is a bit uncomfortable.
- The gesture for going back conflicts with the gesture for pulling out the sidebar on the left side in some apps.
- There are more animation effects, making the visual experience smoother.
- The battery seems to drain faster than on Pie, possibly due to the increased number of animation effects.
- When switching between the work space and personal space in the app drawer, it seems a bit sluggish and requires dragging the screen one-third of the way to activate.
- Dark mode is highly praised (although the stupid WeChat still blinds my eyes as always).
- The permission management is commendable (there is an option for "Allow while app is in use" only).
- Magisk works fine.
- Auto brightness is not effective.
- There are a few apps that are not compatible.
