Since the time when 360 Cloud Drive scaled back its services to enterprise users, I have been constantly searching for a private cloud storage that is suitable for personal use. However, looking at the various cloud storage options available on the internet, they are either too simple or too complicated to deploy, and there are also various strange problems that arise (such as nextcloud).
Therefore, through continuous experimentation, I finally discovered a cloud storage program that is more in line with my usage habits - Cloudreve.
Helping you quickly build a public and private dual-purpose cloud storage system at the lowest cost
Installation#
Since the official website already has a detailed installation tutorial, I won't go into details here. It basically involves: installing the LNMP environment, creating a virtual host, obtaining the program, editing the database connection information, loading the fileinfo PHP extension, and modifying the Nginx settings.
Usage#
Upon entering the page, a beautiful homepage greets you. Click on "Login" to use the default account to log in. After experiencing it, I have summarized the advantages and disadvantages as follows:
Advantages#
- Supports multiple users (can be used by good friends and family members without interfering with each other)
- Comprehensive sharing functionality (provides public and private sharing, with a simple interface)
- One-click extraction of file external links (using the wget tool)
- Customizable file upload strategy (ensures server security)
- Supports integration with Aria2 for offline downloads
- Easy installation
- WebDAV support
...
Disadvantages#
Does not support scanning of local files (file uploads can only be done through the web interface, probably because it uses database management)
Overall Evaluation#
Cloudreve is already a very mature cloud storage program and is the top choice for private cloud storage after Owncloud and Nextcloud.
